Spiritual Support

Spiritual distress can be just as agonizing as physical pain. Hospice of Chattanooga has a team of nondenominational spiritual care coordinators available to help families address spiritual concerns during the end-of-life journey. Issues of forgiveness, hope and spiritual pain become more focused during a life-limiting illness. Our spiritual care coordinators offer a supportive, open and nonjudgmental presence to make this a blessed time. Hospice of Chattanooga believes spiritual care should be a priority as families embrace one of life’s toughest transitions.

Our spiritual care coordinators are available to call, talk and visit as much or as little as needed. They will work to connect you with clergy of your own faith if desired and are available to assist in making funeral arrangements. Please talk to your hospice care nurse about scheduling a spiritual care coordinator if you feel you would benefit from these services.
