Tom Bovine M.D.
“I absolutely love the concept of hospice,” explains Dr. Bovine. “There is no greater privilege than making sure individuals dealing with a life-limiting illness have the medication, emotional support and spiritual resources needed to embrace the end-of-life journey.” In addition to overseeing his own private practice, Dr. Bovine also works full-time for Hospice of Chattanooga. It’s a job that often leads him out of his medical office and into the homes of hospice patients in Rhea and Bledsoe counties. Making house calls is Dr. Bovine’s favorite part of the job. He believes strongly in taking personalized care to his patients. “Most of my patients want to spend those final weeks in their home environment surrounded by their loved ones and hospice makes that possible,” says Dr. Bovine. “Truly, there is no greater privilege.” Dr. Bovine is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, College of Medicine in Memphis, Tennessee. He performed his residency in family practice at the University of Alabama, Huntsville.
