Who We Are

Hospice of Chattanooga was founded in 1981 by a dedicated group of volunteers.  Today, we are the oldest, largest, and only not-for-profit hospice serving Southeast Tennessee and Northwest Georgia.  Each day, Hospice of Chattanooga’s staff is taking care of more than 600 patients during their end of life journey.

In 1992, Hospice of Chattanooga accepted its first pediatric patient.  Ten years later we established the region’s first pediatric hospice program with a team dedicated to serving children at the end of life.  In 2004, Hospice of Chattanooga created the region’s first perinatal program, providing care for mothers with terminal pregnancies.

Hospice of Chattanooga never turns away a terminally ill patient in need of hospice care.  We are a not-for-profit hospice, relying heavily on charitable contributions.  Each year, Hospice of Chattanooga provides more than half a million dollars in unfunded, non-reimbursed hospice care.  To learn more about how Hospice of Chattanooga can serve you and your family at the end of life, call (423) 892-4289.
